Maria Wiley
Sr. Director of Audit, Risk Management & Procurement
Maria D. Wiley joined the Indianapolis Airport Authority in 1998, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Audit, Risk Management, and Procurement, where she is responsible for internal audit, compliance, safety, risk management, and procurement. Wiley is also the airport’s ADA Coordinator and created Sensory Rooms in both concourses for those passengers who have challenges on the Neurodiversity Spectrum such as Autism, Dementia, PTSD, ADHD, and Alzheimer’s. Each of the Sensory Rooms provides sensory bags, noise-canceling headphones, and blankets for passengers to take with them and a quiet space to lounge in while at the airport.
Wiley serves on several civic and not-for-profit boards including The Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee (GIPC) Board and Executive Committee, the Indianapolis Urban League (IUL) Board and Finance Committee, the United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) Board, and Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee, Peace Learning Center (PLC) Board serving as the board chair, and the Six Sigma Racial Equity Institute (SSREI) Board serving as Board chair.
Wiley holds accreditation for becoming an internationally recognized Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
