Delta’s Reinstated Salt Lake City Nonstop Launches March 11
Salt Lake City nonstop flight complements IND’s West Coast reach
INDIANAPOLIS (March 8, 2024) — Delta Air Lines will launch its reinstated nonstop daily flight to Salt Lake City (SLC) out of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) on March 11, resuming a nonstop that was halted during the pandemic.
The nonstop flight operates year-round, departing once per day, seven days a week.
“Salt Lake City is often most known for its great recreational attractions, but it’s also a major business route – serving the industrial banking, freight logistics, life science and technology industries,’” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority.
With business travel now making up approximately 46 percent of the Indy airport’s passenger traffic, the Salt Lake nonstop flight is highly welcomed by Indy businesses.
“The return of this nonstop complements IND’s West Coast reach,” said Marsha Wurster, IAA senior director of commercial enterprise. “The Salt Lake City airport also serves as a hub with Delta, providing connecting flights with further access to unique mountain destinations and key West Coast business and leisure destinations, such as Montana, Idaho, Oregon and California.”
Delta currently operates an average of 26 daily flights to seven nonstop destinations, including Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, New York-JFK and LaGuardia, Los Angeles and Minneapolis.
