New Items From Irsay Collection On Display at Indianapolis Int’l. Airport
In partnership with the Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA), The Jim Irsay Collection has created new exhibits that welcome travelers to Indiana and offer a peek into the Indianapolis Colts’ storied history, as well a chance to see other historic items from music, American history and popular culture.

Indianapolis — In partnership with the Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA), The Jim Irsay Collection has created new exhibits that welcome travelers to Indiana and offer a peek into the Indianapolis Colts’ storied history, as well a chance to see other historic items from music, American history and popular culture.
Artifacts on display include guitars owned by Johnny Cash (pictured) and ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill; items from Colts legends Dallas Clark and Pro Football Hall of Famer Dwight Freeney; memorabilia from boxing legend Muhammad Ali; correspondence from President Abraham Lincoln; and more.
The exhibits are on display post-security in Concourses A and B of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) through Jan. 2025.
“The Indianapolis International Airport is one of the front doors to our great city and has been recognized as one of the best airports in the world,” said Larry C. Hall, chairman of The Jim Irsay Collection. “The Irsay Collection is happy to play a small part in welcoming visitors to Indianapolis and further cementing our airport as an award-winning, world-class facility.”

The Jim Irsay Collection includes artifacts from rock music, American history and pop culture assembled over several decades by Colts Owner & CEO Jim Irsay. Irsaytransformed his collection into a “traveling museum” and has hosted free exhibitions in Nashville, Tenn., Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Boston.
An active philanthropist, Irsay also regularly loans artifacts to museums, nonprofits and other organizations for display and research across the country and around the world. Items have been displayed at the U.S.’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), The Lincoln Memorial, the world-famous Beverly Hills Hotel, and the Indiana State Museum; as well as at The Centre Pompidou (Paris), the British Library (London) and Auditorium Parco della Musica (Rome).
