SBC Freedomlink Wi-Fi service now available at Indianapolis International

Travelers benefit from increased connectivity while on the road

INDIANAPOLIS—As Hoosiers prepare to travel with millions of others during this holiday season, SBC Communications Inc., (NYSE:SBC), and the Indianapolis International Airport today announced SBC FreedomLink Wi-Fi (high-speed wireless Internet) service is available throughout the Indianapolis International Airport—helping travelers to stay in touch and increase productivity.

SBC Wi-Fi access is available throughout all concourses, ticket counters, the food court and the baggage claim area. The service allows travelers to use laptop computers and personal digital assistants (PDAs) to wirelessly connect to the Internet and corporate networks at speeds 50 to 100 times faster than a dial-up connection. The availability of Wi-Fi connectivity at the airport will provide added convenience for millions of travelers to conduct business and stay connected while between flights.

“This is a wonderful new service which offers our customers the ability to maintain their business productivity or stay connected with their friends and family while visiting the airport,” said Patrick Dooley, Airport Director. “The implementation of Wi-Fi further demonstrates that Indianapolis International is a business-friendly environment on the leading edge of technology.”

FreedomLink pricing is among the most affordable in the industry, with deep discounts available to SBC Yahoo! DSL customers who wish to take their broadband service to go. SBC Yahoo! DSL customers can benefit from unlimited access at any FreedomLink nationwide hot spot for just $1.99 per month.
