College Football Playoff Foundation: Indiana Arts Educators
Indianapolis native Kurt Vonnegut once said “the very best thing you can be is a teacher.” This exhibition recognizes the genius of Hoosier art teachers as a legacy project during the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship, played in Indianapolis in January 2022. Featuring 20 pieces of art in a variety of mediums from 15 arts educators across the Hoosier state, the show captures the artistry of the thought-provoking and inspiring educators who nurture the next generation of creators in their classroom.
This exhibition is presented in partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Extra Yard for Teacher’s initiative and the Indy Arts Council. These organizations sought works from Indiana teachers as a part of CFP’s commitment to elevating teachers from Indiana and around the country.
These works are featured in the first-ever art gallery at the Indianapolis International Airport, as well as on the digital screen leading down to Baggage Claim. This exhibit will be on display from December 2021 through Spring 2022. The KIND Gallery, located post-security in Concourse A, is named after the Indy airport’s international airport code and provides another location to feature the talent of local artists.
