Health & Wellness
Focus on your health and wellness when traveling at IND. Use the below resources to maintain your healthy lifestyle, learn new wellness tips and find relaxation and comfort while at IND.
Nursing Mothers Rooms
Mothers who need to breastfeed their children or express milk while traveling or working can utilize one of three private rooms on the main level of the terminal at IND which are designated for that purpose. A call button on the outside of the room will give you access to the amenity. The pre-security room is smaller and is designed for one family’s use, while the post-security rooms are larger and have partitions for added privacy in the shared space.
- Room 09T.303A (Pre-security)—Located near ticket island #8, north side of the Ticketing Hall near Southwest Airlines
- Room 04A.303 (Post-security - Concourse A)—Located across from Harry & Izzy's near the International Arrivals area on Concourse A
- Room 04B.303 (Post-security - Concourse B)—Located across from Gate B5 near Tinker Coffee on Concourse B
Travelers are advised to be aware of TSA policies regarding breast milk. Nursing mothers are permitted to bring breast milk in quantities greater than three ounces as long as it is declared for inspection at the security checkpoint. Mothers flying without their infants can bring breast milk through the checkpoint provided it is declared prior to screening.
For more information about traveling with breast milk, visit the TSA website. If you need additional assistance through the screening process, please contact TSA Cares. For more information and assistance with accessing these rooms at IND, contact Guest Services at 317-487-7243.
Hands-Only CPR Training Kiosk
It only takes two steps to save a life: call 9-1-1 and push hard & fast. The Hands-Only CPR Training Kiosks located near Gate A8 and Gate B15 teach travelers how to perform hands-only CPR and save a life. They feature touchscreen videos that give a brief "how to" followed by a practice session and a 30-second CPR test. With the help of practice mannequins, or rubber torsos, the kiosks provide feedback about the depth and rate of compressions and proper hand placement; factors that influence the effectiveness of CPR.
American Heart Association Walking Paths
Walking is one of the best ways to fight heart disease. In partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA), IND has designated walking paths to keep travelers and visitors healthy. All visitors of IND can walk a quarter-mile path around the Ticketing Hall. After security checkpoints, you can walk half-mile laps around each concourse or a 1.1 mile lap around both concourses. See a map of available walking paths.
