The KIND Gallery
The KIND Gallery is a temporary gallery space, located at IND in Concourse A, that was created in partnership with the Indy Arts Council to bring new and exciting exhibits to the terminal. The gallery name was inspired by IND’s international airport code.
The current gallery exhibit entitled "The Art of the Game: Artists at Work" provides a glimpse of the thematic interests and individual achievements of the Indiana-based artists featured in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse public art project.

History
Because art and culture are such important parts of the fabric of Indianapolis, city leaders and the IAA sought a facility that was not only accessible and easy to navigate but also visually and aesthetically appealing. These visionaries determined that the new terminal would be an open, light-filled, modern and comfortable space rich in ambiance, color, texture and local expertise.
Commissioning our Permanent Collection at IND
The IAA issued a worldwide call for artists to begin the early stages of the Midfield Project, part of a 30-year airport master-planning initiative. A total of 550 artists submitted work and 37 works of art by 17 artists–eight who have Hoosier ties–were brought into the terminal, creating our permanent collection works at IND. Read about the stories behind the artworks and the artists within this collection below.

This video is accessible in the terminal by scanning a QR code located on each gate monitor.
Showing Your Artwork at IND
Each quarter the IAA works with the Arts Council of Indianapolis to select a Central Indiana artist's collections to display throughout the terminal. This is our way to show passing travelers the amazing talent that is alive in Indiana. The installations reflect the diverse culture and environment of Central Indiana.
We welcome any local artists interested in displaying their artwork at IND to submit a request below. While the temporary exhibits display work from a new artist every three months, keep in mind that space is limited to the available space at IND. The IAA values cultural diversity and encourages artists and organizations of varying backgrounds and experiences to submit proposals.
