A Lab based RT-PCR test and Rapid Antigen test are available to determine COVID-19 positive or negative status. Both tests have received FDA / EUA status.
The Laboratory PCR test is EUA authorized by the FDA, and runs on innovative RT-PCR technology in GenePace Laboratories credentialed laboratory, providing a “definitive” positive or negative molecular test result to determine COVID-19 diagnosis. This test is recognized as the “gold standard” for diagnosis and disease status and is accepted as the standard for domestic travel, international travel, safe-to-work, and safe-to-attend-event status. This test is conducted locally at GenePace Laboratories in downtown Indianapolis and is returned in an expeditious manner, well within a 24-hour window from collection and in many cases within a few hours from collection.
The rapid point-of-care test is EUA authorized by the FDA, and detects the presence or absence of the “viral antigen” (or certain fragments of the virus) with a positive or negative visual indication. This test is also commonly accepted for general screening, and is widely adopted for domestic travel, safe-to-work and safe-to-attend event status. The test is run on-site at the JFI Medical airport location. Notification of COVID-19 status will occur via phone, text, and email within a few minutes to an hour of sample collection.
